Goals
Why do we need your help?
Support our Staff
Our former Artistic and Executive Director, Vivian Deangelo, dedicated 40 years to our organization. She emphasized the importance of having a team of artists to ensure our survival. Our team consists of full-time and part-time artists, education and administrative professionals. We promote Latin American and Hispanic culture and provide a platform for innovative artists.
Your contribution will enable us to:Pay dignified salaries and benefits for our staff.
Expand our team and enhance our efficiency by hiring a full-time Development Director and an Office Manager.
Strengthen our organization’s administration to ensure our survival.
Increase Salaries for Artists
Organizations like ours are crucial for artists to express different viewpoints and ideas. We provide the necessary support for artists to create, develop, and showcase their work.Unfortunately, artists are disproportionately affected by economic hardship, facing difficulties in finding and affording housing, transportation, and other basic necessities. We work tirelessly to ensure that our artists receive fair compensation. However, ticket prices alone are not enough to achieve this goal. Individual donations, such as yours, play a vital role in supporting artists and safeguarding the arts in New York City.
Expand our Programs
Our organization strives to expand our programs and offer new perspectives to our communities. We present new works by playwrights from across the globe, host inclusivity fiestas to uplift underrepresented voices, and produce award-winning productions.Your generous gift will help us:
Producing more Mainstage shows per season which will enable us to honor our bilingual commitment to presenting plays in English and Spanish.
Offer more artists the opportunity to workshop new works and present them at our theater.
Lower ticket prices and create more community initiatives, which will bridge the access gap to quality and culturally relevant performing arts programs.
