    Actor, accomplished Scientist in Mathematics and Computer Science from Fordham University, and Administrator in Human Resources from Cornell University. Winston has worked as an actor in multiple theater companies in New York, Puerto Rico and Colorado. He has also worked at NYC Health & Hospital Corporations, General Electrics, and The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.

  • Vivian Deangelo

    Associate Artistic Director

    A graduate of the School of Performing Arts El Galpón (Montevideo), studied with Jerzy Grotowsky and Antunes Filho. In 2009, she was awarded a Citation of Honor from the Office of Queens Borough President Helen Marshall. She’s been leading IATI since 1998, spearheading the effort to restructure it and secure its place as one of the oldest surviving Hispanic theater companies in NY State.

    Favorite play: Each play has something that makes it my favorite at that time.

  • Andre Baruffi

    Began his career in 1994 working in Musical Theater productions with the Estudios de Comedias Musicales in Argentina. Since 2000 he has been working with IATI Theater. He is an HOLA Award winner. He directed and produced Homo-Dramaticus for IATI Theater. He also was a singer at the Walt Disney concert in honor to Chita Rivera and recorded a national children’s book CD. Member of the United Nations Choir since 2003.

  • Mateo Lamuño-Mear

    He received his degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid and studied theater at the William Layton Theater Lab in Madrid and HB Studio in New York. Co-founder of the Non-Profit Barkers Theatre Company, which specializes in translating European plays. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous plays, TV shows, and commercials. His stage performances have earned him several nominations for the Latin ACE and ATI Awards. Currently based in Los Angeles, Mateo continues his acting career while working remotely as a marketing and design consultant, always committed to living a creative life.

  • Guillermo Severiche

    Guillermo Severiche holds an M.A. in Hispanic Studies and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Louisiana State University. In 2016, he completed the M.F.A. program in Creative Writing in Spanish at New York University. He has published fiction and essays in journals in Chile, Puerto Rico, Spain, and the US. He is the author of the novel El agua viene de noche (GG Editora, 2021). He is the founder of EN CONSTRUCCIÓN, a reading series that showcases new work by NYC-based Latin American writers. Currently, he works as an instructor at Fordham University (Lincoln Center) and as literary manager at IATI Theater.

  • Braulio Basilio

    Actor, director, and playwright who has worked extensively in South America and the United States. Originally from Chile, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Bolivariana University's Theater School. He has also studied acting at Matus Acting Academy and screenwriting at Sundance Institute. In 2018, he decided to start anew in New York. He is a co-founder of La Mafia Theater and has written and directed several plays such as "La Clase," "Quien No Ha Amado, Nunca Ha Vivido," "Respira," "Ana y Franco," and "Mesa Latinoamericana." He is also a member of Teatro 220.

    Yani Perez, M.F.A, is a poet, playwright, translator and educator. Her plays have been presented in various theaters in the United States such as La Mama and Yale University as well as internationally in Bogotá, Colombia. She is currently working on translations of Latinx artists in hopes of introducing them to English-speaking audiences.
