Synopsis
A playful theater troupe in Puerto Rico shares secrets inspired by indigenous culture and the symphonies of native tree frogs through performances of Teatro En Vivo- Live Theatre. Modern Man and his initially reluctant Modern Spouse question the sustainability of western ways after a flood on the island transforms everyone into nomads. An unlikely communication from the cosmos is received by the island with surprising guidance about how humanity can course correct.
Playwright
Wayne L. Firestone
Wayne is an alumnus of the past four Kennedy Center Immersive Playwriting Intensives. He twice completed the London based 28 Plays Later challenge--writing 28 plays in 28 days. Over two dozen of his plays have appeared in festivals or publications internationally. He is the inaugural Jewish Plays Project 21st Century Playwright Fellowship recipient and was a resident of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Directing credits include Snow White & the Beast at Lee Strasberg, A Very Modern Marriage at IATI, and the musical Healing the Rainbow starring Lauryn Hill. Known worldwide for starring in Dangerous Minds with Michelle Pfeiffer, Hackers with Angelina Jolie, Daylight with Sylvester Stallone, and Con Air with Nic Cage and John Malkovich, he has also appeared in numerous indie films, TV shows, Off-Broadway, and experimental theater. He was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his Broadway debut in the musical The Capeman.
