La Novia del Viento (The Bride of the Wind)
Synopsis
La Novia del Viento recreates an incredible story filled with intrigue and love for art and life. It’s about an artist (Leonora Carrington) who was loyal to her own principles and who never wanted to define herself as surreal, antifascist, muse nor feminist.
Leonora Carrington (April 6. 1917 – May 25, 2011) was a British-born Mexican artist, surrealist painter, and novelist. She lived most of her adult life in Mexico City, and was one of the last surviving participants in the Surrealist movement of the 1930s. Leonora Carrington was also a founding member of the Women’s Liberation Movement in Mexico during the 1970s. See more in Wikipedia
